Presented by : Le Festival de Paris

The closing concert remains the highlight of the Festival de Paris, a classical music festival that is both high-end and widely popular. This year, cellist Gautier Capuçon—an essential figure on both the French and international scenes—will bring the 2026 edition to a close.

His latest album, Gaïa, conceived as a tribute to the natural world, reveals a sensitivity that runs through all of his work. This concert offers an opportunity to recapture its atmosphere, moving between introspective moments and more expressive surges. The program reflects a blend of genres in the purest tradition of the Olympia Symphonique.

It moves, for instance, between Camille Saint-Saëns, Édith Piaf, Sergei Prokofiev, Jean-Jacques Goldman, and several international pieces that have become iconic, such as Over the Rainbow, Singin’ in the Rain, and the music from the film Schindler’s List.

Gautier Capuçon is joined by pianist Jérôme Ducros, his longtime musical partner, and by a symphony orchestra conducted by Lionel Bringuier. Together, they bring to life a program conceived as a musical celebration, combining virtuosity, intensity, and poetry.
